A small journey, a small realization. A space of the heart found at Chion-in Temple

A small journey, a small realization. The "space in my heart" I found at Chion-in Temple
Hello, this is WABISUKE.
Today I'd like to tell you about a slightly mysterious yet very wonderful place I came across in the middle of Kyoto.
Its name is "Chion-in Temple."
It feels like time just floats by, enveloped in the gentle breeze of Higashiyama.
Once you pass through the Sanmon Gate, the rhythm of the cobblestones will soothe your soul.
"Welcome to the world of silence."
Shukubo (temple lodgings) are a bit of a curious existence
Today we were taken care of by "Wajun Kaikan", located right next to Chion-in Temple.
"Temple lodging" sounds a bit formal...? No, it's like a stylish hotel! The lobby is spacious and bright.
There is also a cafe where you can enjoy Japanese sweets.
.
In the evening, we had a Kyoto kaiseki dinner.
Kudzu buns with autumn leaves, steamed Yamabuki tea cloths, and small sardine rice...just the names of these dishes are enough to get your heart racing.
Each one is like a seasonal poem.
Morning service is a mental stretch
Then I got up early to participate in the morning service.
We walked quietly towards Chion-in Temple under the still dark sky.
Sutras are recited in the Amidado Hall and sermons are given in the Goei Hall.
Even if you don't understand the meaning of the words, the sound will touch your heart.
It feels like a gentle, continuous stretch of the mind.
It was a cold morning, but the breakfast of boiled tofu was warm.
He gently encouraged me, saying, "Let's do our best today too."
WABISUKE's summary: Silence is cute.
Chion-in Temple is a place that teaches us the beauty of quietude.
In the silence of the moment, I suddenly notice the color of fallen leaves,
It could be a moment when you softly remember someone's smile.
WABISUKE wants to cherish this "space in the heart."
The traditions and philosophy are cute, fun, and truly beautiful.
I feel like Chion-in Temple gave me that hint.
