WABISUKE FAQ

WABISUKE FAQ
1. About the product
Q: Where are WABISUKE products made?
A: All of our products are made in collaboration with artisans and workshops in Japan, respecting the memory of the materials and our philosophy of gift-giving. The fabrics and colors contain stories of the seasons and the land.
Q: Is there any significance to the fabrics and colors?
A: Yes, the fabrics and colors we choose each have their own meaning. At WABISUKE, we mainly use cotton canvas. This is a strong and flexible material that has supported Japanese life since ancient times. The more it is used, the more its texture improves, reflecting the time of its owner. The colors we choose are also based on traditional Japanese colors that reflect the seasons and emotions.
2. Ordering and Delivery
Q: How long does it take from ordering to shipping?
A: Normally, we ship within 3-5 business days after receiving your order. For seasonal or made-to-order items, we will inform you separately.
Q: Can I get gift wrapping?
A: Yes. At WABISUKE, we carefully wrap gifts in clear plastic and add a ribbon so that the beauty of the pattern can be seen the moment you receive it. We also put a lot of thought into the packaging so that the moment you take the gift out of the paper bag or box, it will be a stage that reflects the heart of the giver.
3. Repairs and alterations
Q: If the product is damaged, can it be repaired?
A: WABISUKE products are designed to be used for a long time. We will repair any frayed fabric or broken metal fittings as much as possible. Please contact us using the inquiry form.
Q: The color of the fabric has changed. Is this a defect?
A: No. The fabric and dyes have a "change in memory" that develops over time. The change in color is also proof of the time that the gift was given.
4. Custom Orders
Q: Can I choose the fabric and color when ordering?
A: For some products, semi-custom orders are available, allowing you to choose the fabric and color. We can also suggest fabrics that are suitable for the season or the recipient.
5. What does the name WABISUKE mean?
A: The name "WABISUKE" comes from **Wabisuke Camellia**.
This camellia is known as a flower that is quietly placed at tea ceremonies, and is a presence that embodies a modest yet profound beauty.
The tea ceremony is an art that embodies the essence of Japanese culture, including the use of tableware, manners, timing, and seasonal feeling.
In sympathy with this spirit, at WABISUKE we place great importance on capturing the memories that reside in the fabrics and colors, as a reflection of the giver's heart.
Like Wabisuke Tsubaki, we create products that value space and tranquility over splendor.
The philosophy behind this is that giving a gift is like handing over a memory.
