"Kyoto Uchiwa" is a type of fan that has its roots in the Imperial Palace Uchiwa. Kyoto fans are derived from Korean fans, which have many bamboo ribs inside the base paper, and are characterized by the fact that the fan surface and handle are made separately, creating a ``sashika'' structure.Kyoto fans are also called ``Miyako fans,'' and were used at the Imperial Court, and are decorated with extremely elegant paintings. It has also become popular among the general public, and is not only used as a tool to invite coolness, but is also appreciated for its elegance.
